Private browsing mode
Firefox 3.5 introduced the private browsing mode. Due to the way Flash Player works implementing this feature for LSOs presents a number of problems. This page outlines how Objection supports private browsing mode.0.4.1
- LSOs will still be created/changed while in private browsing mode, they will be deleted or returned to their original state when you exit private browsing mode
- If the browser does not exit normally (crash etc) LSOs will be returned to their original state when you next open the browser, provided the profile used has Objection installed
- As Flash Player uses the same LSOs for all browsers, using this setting will effectivly put Flash Player in private browsing mode regardless of the browser it is running in
- Using this setting in two different browsers running at the same time will have undesired results
- When in private browsing mode a button will be enabled on the Objection interface to allow you to save the current LSOs and Flash Player Settings, this will update the zip file with the current state
How Objection implements private browsing mode
- Entering private browsing mode
- A zip file is made of all LSOs and settings files
- Exiting private browsing mode
- All LSOs and settings files are deleted and files are extracted to their original locations
